Dennis joined workz.com in June 2000 as our
Vice President of Sales and Marketing. His major duties included
generating revenue through site advertising and sponsorships and
attracting small businesses to our Web site. In addition to doing
these tasks well in a tough environment, Dennis also contributed
greatly to many other aspects of the business.
Dennis sold to and worked well with both large advertising accounts
(IBM Small Business, Microsoft, HP, UUNET, Verisign and many others)
and all kinds of small businesses. He treated them all as important
and worked to meet and exceed their objectives. Dennis was able
to achieve good advertising results in a market that turned very
difficult. Much of his success came from his deep marketing and
advertising experience, creativity and persistence.
With a very limited budget, Dennis significantly increased the number
of small businesses coming to our Web site each month. He effectively
used marketing and PR to keep our traffic growing. He was also a
key member of the team that successfully revamped our Web site making
it more rewarding to visitors so they stayed longer and viewed more
pages.
As the other senior executive at workz.com, Dennis played a large
role in keeping our operations running smoothly. He was instrumental
in assisting with efforts to downsize our operation to correspond
to the dramatically depressed market we faced in 2000/2001. He was
excellent in finding ways to get more productivity out of a smaller
workforce. He also had a keen sense of identifying good, hardworking
employees who pulled together as a team.
Dennis has a broad understanding of the technology market and brings
excellent sales and marketing experience to any job he undertakes.
Dennis will make a fine addition to any organization that values
honesty, hard work, and results.
